The spider is another favorite in our house and for good reason. There are so many fascinating things about spiders and it was hard to know what to capture. I choose the orb weaver spider because of its bright color and weaving abilities. Every morning this little friend tears down its web and begins anew. This fact reminds me that sometimes we need to clear out the web and begin weaving again. I love the details in this painting and how the embroidered web brings so much personality and originality to this spider friend. She is resting after a busy night and a productive morning, while enjoying a cooling breeze that not only blows the clouds, but also blows through her web.
